Help the Veterans at the Kerrville VA Hospital!

We are collecting items for Ditty Bags for the veterans at the Hospital

List of the items needed (must be new, no hotel toiletries)

• Body Wash, Shave Cream, Socks (both Men and Women),
• Deodorant, Tooth Brushes, Socks (diabetic no elastic)
• Lotion, Large Shampoo, Boxers and Briefs (all sizes)
• Toothpaste, Brushes, Combs, Sweat Suits (all sizes)
• Razors, Fleece Jackets, Lap Robes

Cash Donations Welcome.

Bring your donations to VFW Post 8573 any day after noon; we are located in Sattler at the corner of FM 2673 and River Road. For further information call 830-964-3334 or Marcia Carberry at 210-410-1328. Please have all donations dropped off by November, 5th 2010. Items will be delivered to the hospital prior to Veteran’s day.

Blue Star Mothers

The Ladies Auxiliary has adopted a newly inducted sailor who will be attending nuclear tech training for the next year or so. The Auxiliary will be fully supporting his career. Additional info: James Braun was born and raised in the area. He graduated from Smithson Valley High in 2009. His mother, Valerie Stephens, is a member of the Blue Star Mother’s organization in the Canyon Lake area.
